The American Association for University Women (AAUW) Student Organization at Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, will be raising awareness of the issues of sexual harassment through a new film project. The thirty-minute film will address the issue of sexual harassment in grades 7 – 12. The group was recently awarded a 2011-2012 Campus Action Project (CAP) grant for $2,850 to put toward the costs of making the film. The JCC student organization is the first of its kind for New York State. The film will be premiered as part of a daylong conference on bully culture being held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY. The conference is being coordinated by AAUW of New York’s District 7.
