Eleanor Roosevelt Birth-Tea-Party Pictures

Here are the pictures from our Eleanor Roosevelt Birth-Tea-Party on Saturday October 25, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church. Many of our members dressed in 40’s and 50’s era clothing and wore hats and gloves to commemorate her life.
Trinity church allowed us to use their beautiful silver tea and coffee sets. Some of our members read Eleanor Roosevelt quotes such as, “A women is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water”.
We watched a short excerpt from the PBS film on the Roosevelt’s. Our guest speaker was Scarlett Sharkey the Relocation Readiness Program Manager at Fort Drum. She spoke on Eleanor’s personal and professional life.
